What is "Game On!"?Game On! is a weekly activity hosted by students, designed to explore gaming and its ability to improve learning. Pairs will research, present, and guide students through a chosen game, providing opportunities to explore subjects from all different areas and to educate others on them.
The game that you have selected is your choice, however, it must be teacher approved one week prior to delivery and must not match another pair's game. Each week, a different pair will host a Game On! activity. |
Requirements.
- A strong educational/learning component.
- A completed planning worksheet, delivered 1 week prior to Game On! date.
- An introduction including your name and the focus of your game.
- An original resource as part of your introduction, research, and background.
- A follow-up discussion/question and answer for the participants in the Web Walk.
- Research and background related to your chosen game.

Tip #1 - Be InnovativeThink outside the box and find a really cool and fun game. The more fun and interesting the game, the better you'll do.

Tip #2 - Be InteractiveEngage the students, don't put them to sleep with your introduction, research, and game play.

Tip #3 - Be EducationalFind a game that is educational and relates to the course. There are millions of educational games that require your creativity to make them your own.

Tip #4 - Be EntertainingDon't talk in a monotone voice throughout the entire presentation. Have a fun and excited voice, it really helps!
